London’s new suites revealed

CORINTHIA HOTEL LONDON

Corinthia Hotel London has launched eleven new ‘Garden’ and ‘London’ suites, offering guests an even wider range of luxurious rooms to choose from. Available from 11 June, the suites are another major enhancement at Corinthia’s flagship property since it opened in 2011.

Speaking to Insider+ about the suites,  Corinthia Hotel London’s General Manager, Thomas Kochs said:  “We service a discerning traveller who wants something unique alongside the most up to-date technology.  We have become known for our fabulous River and Penthouse suites, and seven years on from opening, we want to continue to strengthen our position and present a new suite product in the market.”

Mr Kochs added that Corinthia Hotel London is a hotel that “never stands still and continually upgrades our product to suit our guests’ evolving tastes and needs.” Each of the new categories of suite has its own, very British, design inspiration. The dual-aspect London Suite, at 105m2, is inspired by ‘a day in the capital’ –  its light, fresh interior paying homage to the height of elegant modern living, with contemporary amenities and state-of-the-art facilities and technology.

“Corinthia Hotel London never stands still and continually upgrades our product to suit our guests’ evolving tastes and needs.”

In the Garden Suite, the references are a nod to the quintessential British garden, with a calming botanical theme running throughout the 67m² suite. Art – both paintings and sculptural works – is a key part of the mix for both designs. The cool, minimal aesthetic of the London Suite includes contemporary British artworks, bringing energy to the room and representing the diversity of the city.

Designed by GA Design, the new suites complement Corinthia Hotel London’s award-winning accommodation, which includes seven penthouses with expansive terraces giving exceptional views across the capital.  Ed Davies, GA’s Managing Director, said the new suites have been developed “in the style of a grand English home”.

“We set out to create two new and unique types, offering contemporary amenities and state-of-the-art facilities to attract the most discerning client.”

Davies said the spaces had been created in a style that is “homely, refined, understated and elegant”, and that the suites were “grand in design, using luxurious textiles, wall coverings, butter-soft leathers, and beautiful crafted woods. Art is a key focus…with feature artwork and sculptures. GA have curated a set of artistic spaces which we plan to build over time into a full-blown art collection.”

A personal butler service, oversized bed, marble bathroom (with underfloor heating), and a ‘tropical rain’ shower are just some of the features that guests in the new suites will enjoy.Corinthia Hotel London comprises 283 guest rooms, (the hotel’s bedrooms are some of the largest hotel rooms in the UK capital), including 51 suites and seven penthouses offering sweeping views across London’s most popular landmarks. The hotel is also home to the flagship ESPA Life at Corinthia, one of London’s largest and most luxurious spas.

“We set out to create two new and unique types, offering contemporary amenities and state-of-the-art facilities to attract the most discerning client.”
