20 June was a red-letter day for the staff of Ramada Plaza Tunis. Corinthia, which owns and manages this hotel, organised a Long Service Awards ceremony. The COVID pandemic had caused the cancellation of the 2020 Ramada Plaza Awards ceremony, so the staff eagerly awaited this comeback. And they showed their enthusiasm since their attendance was an astounding 100%.
All the awardees received a hand-crafted Mdina Glass Trophy, specially made for the occasion. Mr Joseph Pisani, Chairman of the Ramada Plaza Board, and Mr Thierry Brinte’, General Manager, shared a few words with the audience before the awards were presented.

There were different categories: 5 years service (3 employees), 10 years service (16 employees), 15 years service (20 employees), 20 years service (22 employees) and 25 years service (5 employees).
The large number of persons who have retained their employment over the years with Ramada Plaza proves the high level of staff satisfaction.
Customer satisfaction is also great, and with good reason. The Ramada Plaza, located at the water’s edge in Tunisia’s Côtes de Carthage, was built in 1996 by Corinthia Palace Hotel Company Limited, which continues to own the property to this date and is managed by IHI’s management arm, CHL.

The hotel offers 309 rooms. The Standard Rooms offer exceptional comfort. Each room has its private balcony, looking over the gardens, pools or Mediterranean Sea.
The Executive rooms, situated on the third floor, are designed for unrivalled relaxation. Likewise, each room has a private balcony and views of the gardens, pools or the sea.
The 320m2 Presidential Suite features two private bedrooms, a living room, a dining room and three balconies. Guests are also treated to magnificent views of the Mediterranean Sea and pool areas.
Located twenty minutes from Tunis-Carthage International Airport, this Ramada Plaza Hotel is on a beautiful private beach, minutes away from downtown Tunis. The nearby town of Gammarth, Carthage and Sidi bou Saidoffer a range of options for holiday sightseeing upmarket attractions, including nightlife, shops and cinemas. Tunis is also a stunning destination for shopping, with a large souk and all the shops of a bustling, modern town.
Patrons are pampered with choices. Ramada Plaza offers a good selection of restaurants. La Cascade restaurant provides international buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a different theme each night. Le Bistrot, situated on the lobby level, overlooks the swimming pool and offers an exciting selection of both Tunisian and international specialties, along with light bites, drinks and snacks. Situated near the swimming pool, La Pergola offers all kinds of grilled snacks and fresh seafood.
The Café Maure with Tunisian Tea and Shisa is not to be missed.

The Ramada Plaza offers the service of two large plenary rooms, with ten break-out meeting rooms of various capacities.
For those who love relaxation and wellness, the Sereina Centre offers a wide range of facilities, including indoor and outdoor pools, several relaxation areas, a Turkish Hammam, a fitness room and beauty treatment rooms, serviced by a team of specialists who would gladly assist with the patron’s requirements.
Those who look for relaxation in sports can avail themselves of two tennis courts. There is also an international grade golf course just 1km away. Paragliding, windsurfing, sailing, jet-skiing, water skiing, and horse and camel riding are all available from the white sandy beach near the hotel.
Other relaxation venues are indoor and outdoor pools. In the middle of the latter, Zest Bar serves fresh drinks and light snacks throughout the day.

We are pleased to share the good news that Ramada Plaza Tunis has continued its participation in the Wyndham Green Project, which strives to improve the health and sustainability of our planet with green– or eco-friendly – hotels and resorts.
Truly worth a visit, and – why not? – even a repeat!
